Marion was the oldest of three children born to Cleveland Carlton and Rosilina L. 'Rosa' (Kapp) Blue. He married Lois B. (Carrick) in 1929 and they had three children: Jacque D. 'Jack', Jean and Marla.

Marion William Blue, 82, of Bettsville, died at 11:38 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, 1991, at his residence.
He was born Dec. 2, 1908, in Liberty Township, Seneca county, to Cleveland Carlton and Rosina (Kapp) blue. On Aug. 28, 1929, in Lima, he married Lois B. Carrick, and she survives.
Also surviving are a son, Jack D. of Bettsville; a daughter, Mrs. Bill (Jean) Stierwalt of Fremont; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; a brother, Myron P. Blue of tiffin; and a sister, Ruth William of Tiffin.
Mr. blue, a yard foreman at the Basic Inc., was a member of Fort Seneca Community United Church of Christ, where he held several offices. He was also a member of Basic Quarter Century Club.
Service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday in fort Seneca Community United Church of Christ, Rev. Barry Bordenkircher will officiate with burial in Pleasant Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Saturday and 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the Engle Funeral Home, Bettsville, where a Basic Quarter Century Club memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Fremont Memorial Hospital or the church.
