Tadeus Gugas Kizerian was born in Zara, Sivas, Armenia (now Turkey) a son of Gugas Hohones "Luke" Kizarian and Gooly Baboog Kazatel Modaian. He married Flora Sheranian in 1884 in Zara, Armenia; later re-marrying in the LDS Church in 1907. They divorced after 52 years in 1936. They immigrated to the U.S. settling in Utah in 1906. They were the parents of 13 children, including: Kalousd Karlous, Ruthy, Moroni David, Luke Lincoln, Maria, Turza, Everett Tadeus, Anna Tadeus, Caleb Tadeus, Irven, Virginia and Ephraim Tadeus Kizerian.
