MURPHYSBORO -- George Roger Alstat, 69, of Venice, Fla., formerly of Murphysboro, died at 8:03 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011, in Venice Regional Medical Center.
George was born August 20, 1941, in Murphysboro to George Alstat and Vernice (Pugh) Alstat Rosenberger.
He was a retired special education teacher and had also been an insurance salesman.
Mr. Alstat was a member of South Biscayne Church in Venice, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his parents
