Mark Andrew Baumgartner, age 23, a lifelong resident of Naperville, Ill., died Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010 at Edward Hospital in Naperville after a lifelong history of cardiac problems. He was born May 18, 1986 in Maywood, Ill.

Loving son of Brad and Barb Baumgartner of Naperville; adored brother of Lisa, Megan (his twin sister) and Kari; cherished grandson of Richard and Josephine O'Halloran, and Toni and the late Ron Baumgartner; beloved nephew of Dan and Cathy Baumgartner, Steve and Sue Baumgartner, Donna and Harland Schaffer, Diane and Greg Cook, John and Monica Baumgartner, Susan and Will Hansen, Richard and Jen Baumgartner, Patti Baumgartner, Rick and Julie O'Halloran, Dan and Robyn O'Halloran, and Nancy and Eric Schultz; dear cousin and friend to many.

Mark grew up in Naperville, attended Kingsley Elementary School and Lincoln Junior High School, and was a 2005 graduate of Naperville Central High School. Mark graduated with a degree in Business from Illinois State University, Bloomington-Normal on Dec. 12, 2009.

He was a lifelong member of St. Raphael Catholic Church in Naperville and enjoyed golf, cooking and his aquarium. Mark also enjoyed travel, especially to Universal Studios and cruises.

Visitation Tuesday, Feb. 23, 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville. Services will begin Wednesday, Feb. 24, 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home and will proceed to a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Raphael Church, 1215 Modaff Rd., Naperville. Interment SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Naperville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mark's name may be made to The Tribute Program at Children's Memorial Hospital, Children's Memorial Foundation, for the benefit of the Cardiology Department, 2300 Children's Plaza, Box 4, Chicago, IL 60614-3363.
