Born in Rolanda, Dahlsland, Sweden, Anna worked in Norway, near Oslo, which was close to her home in Sweden, before emmigating to the US. She could speak Norwegian. She came to America to marry Andrew Anderson about 1877. They had 7 kids together, 6 sons and a daughter. After about a dozen years farming in Deuel Co., SD, they moved to Mille Lacs Co., MN, and farmed there the rest of their lives. Anna died in Minneapolis in 1923 at Fairview Hospital, 5 days after undergoing an operation that was unable to remedy a strangulated femoral hernia. She was 62 years old.
