Albert K. Makekau, 74, of Honolulu died Oct. 14 in Kuakini Hospital. He was born in South Kohala, Hawaii.

He is survived by wife Charlotte; son Albert "Jumbo" Jr.; daughters Marlene "Diddles" Kintaro, Charlene "Tweetie" Bush and Ginger Makekau; brothers David and Kenneth Makekau and Donald Keawe; sisters Marjorie "Tita" Perez, Barbara Kaapuni and Violet "Keala" Sarkisian; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandson. Services: 12:30 p.m. Friday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Lanakila Ward, Judd Street. Call after 9:30 a.m. Burial: Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery. Casual attire.
