Benjamin Nydegger, 67, a retired heavy equipment operator, died at 7:30 am Monday in his home at Cortez, Fla., after a brief illness. Born at Lafayette, Mr Nydegger lived here and at Stockwell most of his life. He retired one and one half years ago and moved to Florida. Mr Nydegger was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 301 at Indianapolis. He was married to Eloise Grolo, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Jack L Nydegger of Battle Ground and Richard W Nydegger of Mulberry; a foster son, Harold Cast of Frankfort, four daughters, Mrs Eloise Cox, Mrs Nancy Balser and Mrs Connie Joe Howard, all of Lafayette, and Mrs Carolyn Johnson of St Petersburg, Fla.; two brothers, Lee D Nydegger of Clarks Hill and Paul Nydegger of Tulsa, Okla.; and one sister Mrs Bernice Fidler of Clarks Hill.
