Funeral services for Ronald L. "Ronnie" Grubbs 73, of Locust Grove, will be held on Monday, December 27 at 2:00 PM at the Locust Grove Free Will Baptist Church. Rev. Jeff Blair and Rev. Curt Gwartney will officiate with burial following at Hogan Cemetery in Locust Grove. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 26, from 2-4 PM at Key Funeral Home in Locust Grove. Services are under the direction of Key Funeral Home in Locust Grove. Ronnie passed away on Tuesday in Broken Arrow.
Ronnie was born on December 22, 1936 in Tulsa to Velton Leroy and Madline Virginia (Hurst) Grubbs. He grew up and attended school in Tulsa, graduating from Will Rogers High School in 1955. After high school, he joined the United States Air Force. He served for 4 years and was stationed in Bellville, Illinois and then in Ardmore. After the service, he returned to Tulsa where he worked in sales and also did some mill work. He and Delores Gindt were married on July 6, 1965 in Tulsa. In 1967, he started working for McDonnell Douglas as a mechanical engineer and he worked there until his retirement in 1993. He was a member of the Transport Workers Union in Tulsa.

Ronnie was a self-proclaimed "homebody", he didn't like to travel much but he loved spending time with Delores, camping and fishing. He also enjoyed gardening, woodworking and remote control airplanes. He was a member of the Locust Grove Free Will Baptist Church.

Brett Grubbs and wife Jodi of Verdigris Charles Rial and wife Cindy of Columbia, TN Tammy Anderson of Tulsa Rhonda Kincade and husband Robert of Carlsbad, CA Theresa Thompson and husband Tommy of Mobile, AL

16 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 Sons, Doug Rial and Mike Rial.
