I had thought without proving documentation that this Andrew Jackson "John" Reeves was the son of Hiram and Elizabeth Hauser Reeves. His father was born in SC and his mother in MO. The family was living in MO when Andrew was born as the youngest of nine children. His parents are buried in Madison, MO. If this is the right family unit.

According to the information on the death certificate for who was thought to be an adopted son named John Wesley (Norvell) Reeves his father was born in MO and mother in AR. This John Wesley Reeves died in the state of Arizona and death document number I saw was State File Number 3465.

(Or Could this be Jackson Reeves, son of Gaston & Elizabeth Reeves? See 1850 census, Buncombe, Independence, Arkansas. The Wolf family only knew him as John Reeves.)

I find Andrew and Francis Reeves on the 1880 census with no children listed. Married in 1875.

1900 census shows:
Household Members Age Relationship
Adr Jackson Reeves
62 Head
Francis E Reeves 44 Wife
John W Nowell
19 Servant

Nothing much is know as to how this man came to marry Elizabeth Frances Wolf in Norfork, AR. They lived much of their married life in Hot Springs, AR and had an adopted son, John Reeves.

It is believed that the person known on as John W Nowell is later know as John Wesley Wolf - it is understood that the couple may have adopted him shortly before their deaths.
