Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock at the Akron Methodist Church for Mrs. Josephine DAY, aged 75, who died Sunday afternoon at her home three miles northeast of Akron. Rev. TILMAN, of Bourbon, officiated and burial was made in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Akron.
Mrs. Day's death was due to complications inherent to advanced age from which she had suffered for the past six months.
The deceased [Josephine MANZILLE] was born in Akron February 13th, 1854 the daughter of Dr. N. E. and Isabel MANZILLE. Fifty years ago she was married to John E. DAY
Surviving are the husband and one son, Arthur DAY, who lives northeast of Akron.
