THE DEATH OF BESSIE D. COSBY
Mrs. Bessie D. Mounts Cosby, 98, who made her home with a niece, Mrs. Paul G. (Juanita) McClanahan of 500 Parkridge Drive, W.L., died at 7:15 o’clock Wednesday morning in Home Hospital. She had been a patient there since Sunday. A native of Rising Sun, she was reared in Tippecanoe County and lived for some time in the Stockwell area. She graduated from Clendenning Grade School. In 1904 at LaPorte, she was married to Sanford M. Cosby, who was a Dayton area farmer until his death in 1941. Mrs. Cosby resided for many years in the home that her father built on the south fork branch of the Wildcat Creek over 80 years ago, recently moving to West Lafayette. Mrs. Cosby was a member of Stockwell United Methodist Church. Surviving with the niece, Mrs. McClanahan, are a sister, Mrs. Arthur (Sylvia) Sanders of Rt. 1, Battle Ground; and one brother, Robert Mounts of Washington, Penn.
