Mrs. SMITH was born June 7, 1932, in Boston, Mass., daughter of the late William and Eleanor (STUBBS) HESSLER.
She was the wife of Richard A. SMITH, to whom she had been married for 43 years.
Mrs. SMITH was a co-founder of the Nashua Chapter of Compeer. She enjoyed creative writing and was a member of several writing groups, including the Merrimack Valley Writers Group. She wrote numerous short stories as well as a play. She loved to entertain and was well known for her themed parties.
She devoted most of her life to her family and friends, especially her two grandchildren.
Mrs. SMITH was an Air Force veteran, having attained the rank of lieutenant.
She attended Brandeis University in Waltham, Mass.
Mrs. SMITH was predeceased by a sister, Camilla "Sissy" HESSLER.
The cremation Society of New Hampshire in Manchester is in charge of arrangements.
