At an early hour this morning occurred the death of Mrs. Lizzie Ackley, wife of Supervisor John Ackley, at the family residence on Utica Ridge. Deceased came to this county in 1865, with her mother, now Mrs. Spratt, of Cedar county. She was born in Pennsylvania. In 1869 she was united in marriage to Mr. Ackley—and a delightful home has she made for him ever since. She was of a modest, loving disposition, but earnest in all undertakings, and prized home above everything else. Her disease consumption, manifested itself about a year ago, and quickly ended a noble life. She leaves three children—all boys—with her husband.
The funeral will take place from the family home on Sunday next at 10 o'clock in the forenoon.
