"aged 71y11m5d". This transcription by Toph has given a number of family historians heart-burn and has caused genealogists to erroneously assign her to the wrong generation of Jarvis (children of William/Margaret). I have calculated her birth date assuming the transcription should read 31y11m5d and that the death date is Aug 1, 1863. There may be an Eliza J. Jarvis (unmarried daughter of William/Margaret), but this isn't that person. I doubt there is any evidence for such a person. Her age at death must have been 31-33. The cleaned stone clearly says wife of Wm. C. Jarvis and she is buried next to William Conner Jarvis along with one of his other (3) wives.
