Wesley G. Berg, 65, died Monday, November 4, 1996, in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

He was born May 7, 1931, in Queen Township of the Pine Lake area, south of Gonvick, to parents Roy and Clara Berg. Wesley was one of four.

His father, Roy Berg, and Roy's brother, Ernest, perished in a cold and severe snowstorm in Holst Township in January of 1975.

Wesley had lived in the Leonard/Clearbrook area for several years before moving to Minneapolis.

Survivors include two sons, Richard and David Berg; two daughters, Debra Simons and Darlene Berg, one grandson; daughter-in-law, Deborah Berg, sister Clara Soland of Minneapolis; half-sisters, Elvina (George) Johnson of rural Gonvick, and Sylvia Kennison of California; as well as aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Orvin, Norris and Roger.

A memorial services was held Thursday, November 7, at the Gearhart Anoka Funeral Chapel in Anoka, Minnesota, with Pastor T.J. Anderson officiating. Arrangements were by the Gearhart Funeral Home-Anoka Chapel. Wesley was buried by his parents at the Bethlehem Cemetery, rural Gonvick.
