E. E. Boone passes away last evening at five o'clock after an illness of two weeks. Born in Bridgewater England February 24, 1852 he came to America with his parents James H. and Louisa Boone when he was five years of age. After ten years in Penn Yan, N. Y. the family came to Cambria Township, Hillsdale County. He was married to Flora E. Hammond Nov 30, 1876, came to Hillsdale to live in September 1896 and since the autumn of 1917 has lived at the present home, 8 North street. Mr. Boone was one of twelve children of which there are two brothers and three sisters surviving, George of Elkhart, Frank of North Adams; Mrs. Sarah Easling of Hillsdale; Mrs. Flora Simmons of Hillsdale and Mrs. Anna Walsh of Easton Rapids. He is also survived by his wife and one daughter Mrs. D.E. Shiel of this city. Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. G.A. Osbourne at the M.E. Church Friday afternoon at 4pm.m, following a brief prayer service at the home. Interment will take place in the mausoleum. (Due to vandalism, the Mausoleum burials have been moved to Lakeview Cemetery, city of Hillsdale, MI)
