MRS. HUDSON
FIVE POINTS — Mrs. Grace Hudson, 88, of Five Points died Sunday, Sept. 11, 2005 at her residence.
Funeral services are scheduled Tuesday, Sept. 13 at 11 a.m. at Lanett First Christian Church with the Rev. Howard Merchant officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwoood Cemetery.
Mrs. Hudson is survived by her son, Don (Jan) Hudson of Five Points; two sisters, Anne Sharpe of Valley and Mary Jim Joslin of Winston Salem, N.C.; six grandchildren, Kathy Kendrick of Lanett, Elizabeth Scruggs of Lebanon, Tenn., Eric Hudson of Lebanon, Lynn Roach of Valley, Jason Roach of Lanett and Donna Roach of Lanett; 10 great-grandchildren, five step-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren.
Born July 1, 1917 in Alabama, Mrs. Hudson was the daughter of the late Lela Poole Belcher and S.P. Belcher. She was an active member in the Order of the Eastern Star, where she served as a grand matron for many years. Mrs. Hudson was a retired employee of WestPoint Pepperell and after retirement, she worked for two years as a tour guide at Callaway Gardens. She loved her family and her church.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Lanett First Christian Church in her memory.
The family will receive friends Monday, Sept. 12 from 7 until 9 p.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
