DiMaggio, Michael Andrew Born October 18, 1954 in San Pedro and passed away July 5. Beloved son of Helen and the late Neno DiMaggio Michael was a lifetime resident of the Peninsula and San Pedro. A graduate of Miraleste High School he attended Holy Trinity School for his elementary education. Known for his immense love of music and his creative flair Michael was affiliated with the family business, Star Fisheries, but found his real vocation in working in connection with entertainment and fashion; at one time employed by Goodtime Tickets in Hollywood, he also worked as a photographic model. He is survived by his mother; his brother, Anthony (Jolene); nieces, Marissa and Stephanie DiMaggio; his adored "Auntie Anita" and uncle, Nick Mardesich; uncle, Andy Fistonich; aunt, Stella DiMaggio; uncles, Bart (Marie) DiMaggio; and Sal (Vera) DiMaggio (of Monterey); and numerous cousins. He was a bright spirit and source of joy to those who loved him.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Little Sisters of the Poor, San Pedro or the San Pedro Peninsula Cancer Guild, c/o 7 Wagon Lane, Rolling Hills, CA 90274. Funeral service under the direction of McNerney's Mortuary will be held on Thursday July 12, 11:00 AM at Green Hills Chapel, 27501 S. Western Avenue, Rancho Palos Verdes.
