Brooklet - Cyril S. Jones, 77, died Friday at Candler General Hospital in Savannah after a long illness. The native of Laurens County lived in Bulloch County 42 years. He was a farmer and a lumber dealer until he retired several years ago because of ill health. He was a member of Brooklet First United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Roberta Evans Jones of Brooklet; a son, C.J. Jones of Hilton Head Island, S.C.; a daughter, Mrs. Barbara Bailey of Savannah; a sister, Mrs. Juanita Bradford of Brooklet; a brother, W. Kemple Jones of Brooklet; and five grandchildren.
Funeral: 3 p.m. today at Brooklet First United Methodist Church, burial in Brooklet City Cemetery. Smith-Tillman Mortuary of Statesboro.
