He was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church and graduated from NMMI Junior College in 1994 with an Associates Degree. He attended UNM and was working on his Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. He managed Desert Hills Apartments for 7 years and worked for LaFont Trucking, LLC for many years. James was a fun loving son, brother, and friend and will always be remembered for his beautiful smile and great sense of humor.
James was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Cedelia Martinez; his paternal grandparents, James LaFont and Reba Wrather.
