Troy C. Mendenall, Jr., 70, of Decatur, died on Sunday, August 27, 2006 in his home.

Funeral services will be 2 pm Thurs. Aug. 31, 2006 at the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm Wed. Aug. 30, 2006 in the funeral home. Burial will be in Lester Barnett Cemetery with military rites conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard. Memorials may be made to the Voiture #287 Nurses Scholarship.

Troy was born on Nov. 19, 1935 in Decatur, the son of Troy and Lorraine Elder Mendenall. He loved golf and previously owned and operated Mendenall Motors in Decatur. He was a Navy Veteran, a member and of the American Legion Castle Williams Post #105, member of Disabled American Veterans, Moose Lodge #684, Past Grand Chef and member of Voiture #287 40/8. Troy married Donna Pennypacker on May 26, 1958 in Decatur.

Surviving is his wife, Donna of Decatur; children: Troy C. Mendenall, III of Danville, VA; Shelly Eaton, Daniel Cristal Mendenall, Teresa Rob Lamb and Dayne Trisha Mendenall all of Decatur; father, Troy C. Mendenall, Sr. of Decatur; brother, Paul Ann Mendenall of Decatur; 12 grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends

Troy was preceded in death by his mother; step-mother, Wilma Mendenall; sister, Arlene McCormick and one granddaughter, Angel Lamb.
