Maggie P. Divine

Mrs. Maggie P. Divine, 80, homemaker and resident of Vaiden, died from cancer Sunday, November 10, 1991 at Greenwood Leflore Hospital in Greenwood.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 12 at Lee Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating ministers were the Rev. John Allen Wade and the Rev. Leon Holly. Burial was in the Midway Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mrs. Hazel McCorkle.

Mrs. Divine is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Frances Shirley of Vaiden; two sons, Thomas "Dude" Welch and Harvey "Blackie" Welch, both of Vaiden; one brother, Charles Parkinson of Vaiden; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers were Ocie Shirley, Tracy Shirley, Ricky Shirley, Gary Welch, Franklin Welch and Calvin Welch.

Lee Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Vaiden - Services for Mrs. Maggie P. Divine, 80, of Vaiden, who died Sunday, Nov. 10, 1991, at the Greenwood Leflore Hospital, were at 11 a.m. today, Nov. 12, at Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Winona.

Mrs. Divine was preceded in death by her daughter, Mrs. Hazel McCorkle of Vaiden.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Frances Shirley of Vaiden; two sons, Thomas "Dude" Welch and Mr. Harvey "Blackie" Welch, both of Vaiden; one brother, Mr. Charles Parkinson of Vaiden; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Burial was at Midway Cemetery near Vaiden. The Rev. Leon Holly and the Rev. John Allen Wade officiated.
