Mary Kate Heyward O'Quinn, of Branchville, died November 17, 2010.

Born September 9, 1927 in Savannah, GA, she was a daughter of the late William G. and Gertrude Exley Heyward.

Mrs. O'Quinn grew up in Beaufort, graduated from Beaufort High School, and attended Brevard College.

She was a member of Branchville United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, EsDorn "Don" O'Quinn, three sons, William (Cynthia) O'Quinn of Branchville, Joe (Kristi) O'Quinn of Easley, and John (Melissa) O'Quinn of Charleston, nine grandchildren, William, Jr. (Nadine) O'Quinn, Brian (Emily) O'Quinn, Brandi (Jarred) Boan, Emily O'Quinn, Abby O'Quinn, Lindsay O'Quinn, Jordan O'Quinn, Tommy O'Quinn, and Christian Bohnstadt, one great-granddaughter, Daisy O'Quinn, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. O'Quinn was preceded in death by one sister, Sarah Dropla, and one grandson, Wales O'Quinn.

Interment was in St. Luke United Methodist Church Cemetery, Bluffton.
