Melvin Junior Ivie 6/29/1926 ~ 5/3/2006 DELTA- Melvin Junior Ivie, age 72, passed away May 3, 2006 in Delta. Born June 29, 1926 in Delta, to Thorley and Ida Gwen Ross Haskett. Married Nelda Roundy, October 12, 1948 in Delta. Moved to Ruth, Nevada in 1942. Served in US Marine Corps 1943-1946. Worked for Kennecott Copper 1948-1984 as an electrician. Returned to Delta in 1987 to care for his mother. Enjoyed camping, hunting, sports (Utah Jazz), boating good water skiers, tied flies. Loved family and friends visits. Survived by wife: Nelda, Delta; sisters: Anna (Don) Hutt, Modesto, CA; Vada (Wally) Kernell, Vashon Island, Washington; sister-in-law: Leona Ivie, Fillmore. Preceded in death by brother: Scott Ivie. Funeral Services Saturday May 6, 2006 at 12 Noon, Delta 4th - 6th Ward Chapel. Friends call Saturday 10:30-11:45 a.m. at Church. Burial Delta Cemetery.
