Carroll Emmons Barnes was born October 26, 1897 in Nortonville, Kentucky. His mother was Parthenia S (possibly Sisk) Barnes (probably Find A Grave Memorial# 61753388, but that should be confirmed before linking her as his mother).

Carroll married Mary Lucritia Kilgore (Find A Grave Memorial# 61753439) on July 4, 1918 in Clarksville, Tennessee.

Records indicate the couple lived in & around Nortonville most of their lives.

Available records show that Carroll & Mary had at least 5 children:
-Karl Abner Barnes (1819-1972),
-James H Barnes (1921- ),
-George Leonard Barnes (1922-1923)
-Jean Alice Barnes (Elwonger)(Meyers) (1925-1967)
(their daughter Jean Alice was my father's first wife)
-Robert C Barnes (1929- )

I am not sure if they had more children after 1929, as I have not yet been able to find them in either the 1930 or 1940 census, and my sister died so I am not able to check this point with her.

Carroll died on April 1, 1970 in Nortonville, KY. Mary died in 1985 per headstone.
