Lydia Ruiz Escamilla, beloved mother, passed away on November, 13, 2010 at the age of 84. She was born on February 9, 1926 to Agapito and Crisanta Ruiz in Alice, Texas.
She is survived by her sister, Pauline Garcia of Corpus Christi; brother, Santos Ruiz of Corpus Christi; children, Viola Hinojosa (Apolinar), George Wilmot (Felipa), Diana E. Flores and Elsa Gonzalez (Santiago) all of Corpus Christi; 16 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.
Pallbearers will be Fernando Flores, Jr., Santiago Gonzalez, Jr., Roger Ibarra, Jr.; Joseph Hinojosa, John David De Leon, Armando Perez III and Apolinar Hinojosa, Jr.
Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.
A Chapel service will be held at Memory Gardens Chapel on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
