Mrs. Bertie Hunt Chittum, 83, died Sunday, Nov. 29, 1959, afternoon at the home of her son, W. Clinton Chittum, at Fairfield. A daughter of the late William H. Hunt and Nannie J. McManama Hunt, she was born in Rockbridge County, March 24, 1876.
She was a member of the Fairfield Methodist Church.
Surviving besides her son are two brothers, Joe F. Hunt and E. B. Hunt both of Glasgow. Graveside services were held Tuesday (Dec. 1) at 4 p.m. in Fairfield Cemetery, VA. The officiating clergyman was the Rev. S. W. D. Hedrick.
