Ethel M. Darling, 74, of 145 Thiry-six St. NE, widow of Edwin B. Darling and a resident of Cedar Rapids for 73 years, died Thursday following a long illness.
She was born in Bertram March 6, 1890. Mr. Darling died in 1950.
Surviving are six daughters, Patricia JoAnn Hood, Ruth Wallace and Betty McKinney, Pauline Rainio, Barbara Darling, Mary Jane Cooper, three sons, Stephen, Edwin, and Buck Darling, 11 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Darling was a member of Trinity Methodist church and the Degree of Honor.
