"Tandy A. Bryson, 55, formerly director of engineering for the American Machine and Metals, Inc., died yesterday in Troy, N.Y., according to word received by tri-city friends today. Mr. Bryson several months ago was given a citation by Brigadier General Norman F. Ramsey in behalf of Major General Levin H. Campbell, chief of ordinance, for the development of a tank fan which greatly improved operations and conserved material.

He left the employ of the American Machine and Metals, Inc., about a month ago after having been with the company since 1940, and at the time of his death was with the Cluett Peabody company, Troy, N.Y. He and his wife lived at the LeClaire hotel while in the tri-cities. Mr. Bryson was the holder of a number of patents and was well-known in the engineering field.

Surviving is the widow of Troy, N.Y. The time of the funeral services is not known.
Mr. Bryson, a graduate of the Sewanee Military academy, studied at the University of the South and Rensselaer Polytechnic institute, Troy, N.Y. He was a native of Gallatin, Tenn."
