Shane was born on December 3, 1977 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Dennis and Judith "Judi" Carpenter Hebert. He was their first child and the first grandchild on both sides of the family.
His parents divorced shortly after he turned two. His mom remarried and Mike Walker became his father, raising him as his own. He became a big brother with the births of his sisters Jennie and Laurie and also when his mom married Mike, he gained Christy as a sister. He was a wonderful big brother and his sisters adored him. He grew up and went to school in Watson where he lived most of his life. He married Tabitha Stelly in October 1996 and in April of 1997 they became parents to twin girls Krista and Kristen.
On October 27, 1997, Shane was taken from us by a senseless act of violence. He was murdered during an attempted armed robbery, he was not the intended victim. Shane died at the age of 19.
