1924 - 2010
Hazel Lena Dobe, 86, formerly of Dover, N.H., passed away Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010, at the Hawthorn House in Shalimar, Fla.
Hazel was born on Jan. 28, 1924, in Manchester, N.H., the daughter of the late Daniel J. and the late Hazel L. (Yuill) Clear. She attended Keene State College in New Hampshire. Hazel married John T. Dobe Sr. on May 29, 1948, and was predeceased by her husband of 50 years on Feb. 27, 1999. Hazel had been living at Hawthorn House and Teresa Village, which are part of the Air Force Enlisted Village, since 2000.
Hazel is survived by her children, Thomas Dobe, his spouse Patricia (Rivard) Dobe, Debra (Dobe) Lambert, her spouse Walter Lambert, and Lynn (Dobe) Routhier and her spouse Charles Routhier; her grandchildren, William Dobe, Dawn (Dobe) Ingram, Diana Dobe, Kerry (Dobe) Struth, Kathleen Dobe, Meghan (Routhier) Hostetler, Michael Routhier, Aileen Lambert, Emily Lambert and Olivia Lambert; and great-grandchildren, Noelle and Paige Dobe. Hazel was predeceased by two sons, John T. Dobe Jr. and William F. Dobe; and one daughter, Mary K. Dobe.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, at Teresa Village Chapel with Chaplain Sally Michaud officiating. A burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Bedford, N.H.
