Roberta Ray Berry Jacobs, daughter of William and Martha (Damerell) Berry, was born May 8, 1918 in Attica, Kansas. She passed away Sunday, August 22, 2010 in Buford, Georgia at the age of 92.

On June 10, 1938, Roberta was united in marriage in Attica with Arthur (Art) Otto Jacobs of Harper, Kansas. This union was blessed with two sons, Donald Ray and Robert Bruce.

The family lived in Kansas until 1956 when they moved to Montana. Following Art's retirement in 1975, Roberta and Art relocated to Arizona. With Art's death on August 11, 1977, Roberta returned to Kansas and settled into a new home in Nickerson, She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Nickerson and very involved in church activities and fellowship.

In 1992 Roberta sold her home and moved to live with her son Robert and his wife Bonnie in Ellicott City, Maryland. They remained in Maryland until moving to Raleigh, North Carolina in 1997 and then to their present home in Buford, Georgia in 2002.

Roberta was involved in many activities through her live and enjoyed sharing all kinds of crafts with her friends and relatives. She enjoyed needle point, knitting, making decorations, macramé and creating ornamental eggs. She loved to play golf, bridge and any other games she could share with friends and family.

Roberta was preceded in death by her sisters Julia Berry, Agnes Brown, MaRene Wilt and her brothers William and Perry Berry.

Roberta will be missed by her sons, Donald Jacobs and his wife, Birdie of Portland, Oregon and Robert Jacobs and his wife, Bonnie of Buford, Georgia; three grandchildren: Muri Dueppen, Sarah Jacobs, and Robert C. Jacobs; two great grandchildren: Angela and Andrew Dueppen; other relatives and friends
