Velda Beck, 87, of 1836 A St. Normal, died at 1:49 p.m. Wednesday (March 30, 2005) at BroMenn Regional Medical Center in Normal.
Velda was born Oct. 14, 1917, in Colfax, a daughter of Ernest and Minnie Harms Humphrey. They preceded her in death.
She married William Dale Beck on March 9, 1963. He survives.
Also surviving is one daughter, Judy Wheat of Pontiac; one son, Robert (Becky) Phillips of Normal; one stepson, Charles (Lois) Beck of Hudson; one stepdaughter, Katharine (Bob) Benson of Geneseo; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, one sister and three brothers.
