Mrs. Dorothy Marie Kunz Bowdoin, age 78, of Crockett, passed away Wednesday, November 3, 2010 in the Houston County Nursing Home in Crockett. She was born March 15, 1932 in Schulenburg, Texas and had been living in Crockett for the past 2 ½ years. Mrs. Bowdoin was a member of the Woodlands Baptist Church in Splendora and she attended the Georgia Camp Baptist Church. She was a housewife.
Survivors include husband of 54 years, Wayne Bowdoin of Crockett; children, Ernest Bowdoin of Splendora, Joann Estes and husband, Glen of Point Blank, Diane Henderson and husband, Keith of Splendora; grandchildren, Melissa Hall and husband, Jon of Louisiana, Kaitlyn Henderson of Splendora; great-grandchildren, Alexis Paige Hall and Jon Jeremy Hall, Jr.,; adopted daughter Stephanie Edwards of Crockett; adopted granddaughter, Megan Jeffreys of Crockett; sister-in-law, Ruth Kunz of Schulenburg; nephews, Darren Kunz of Schulenburg, James Kunz of Columbus.
Preceded in death by parents, Edmond and Annie Kunz; brothers, Arthur Kunz and wife, Marselene and Herman Kunz.
Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Marie Kunz Bowdoin will be held Friday, November 5, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Rex Harrell officiating. Interment will follow in the Porter Springs Cemetery. Family will receive friends Thursday evening 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Georgia Camp Baptist Church.
