R.L. was born in Cameron, Texas, to the late R.L. and Myrtle Fuller Blocker. He retired in 1982 from the Royal Crown Bottling Co. after 45 years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the Church of Christ. He loved to fish and was very proud of his yard work.
He was preceded in death by Robbie Wayne Blocker.
Survivors include his wife, Earline Blocker, of Marlin; sons, Billy Blocker and Ronny Blocker, of Austin; daughters, Doris Kuenstler, of Three Rivers, TX, Terri Baragas, of DelValle, TX; step-son, Cliff Wiggleton, of Marlin; step-daughter, Lisa Lott, of Bastrop; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, Charlie Blocker, of Bryan; sisters, Artie Edmonds, of Belton, Thelma Rae Brown, of Bryan; and many other relatives and friends.
