Wife of John
She was the wife of John Baker (1805-1876). Two sons were born of their union.
Thomas Corwin Baker married Abigail Adelia White (1854-1938), who was a daughter of Catherine Jane Burkhart* (1832-1859) and Edward Newton White (1828-1916). Thomas was a veteran of the Civil War who relocated to Linn County, Oregon and married Abbie on Oct 10, 1876. They had four children and lived in a number of towns and cities in Oregon before going to Seattle, Washington, to live with children. Both Abbie and Thomas died in 1938 and are buried at Riverside Cemetery, Albany, Linn County, Oregon.
Mary's other son, George, also served in the Union Army during the Civil War and came home after the war, to live in Ohio, passing from this world in 1910.
*Abbie's mother, Catherine Jane (Burkhart) White, was an older sister to my maternal great, great grandfather, Leander Columbus Burkhart.
