Father of Mrs. James Critser Dies
Bascom R. Allie Passes Away Following Heart Attack at His Home Sunday Noon
Bascom R. Allie, 66 years old, Wolcott resident and father of Mrs. James Critser of Rensselaer died at his home at one oclock Sunday afternoon following a heart seizure that came as he and members of his family, including Mrs. Critser were gathering at the dinner table.
Mr. Allie had not been well for several weeks because of heart complications, but his death was sudden and unexpected.
Born April 1, 1882, Mr. Allie was married to Lillian Houk in 1910. He went to Wolcott from Rolling Prairie in 1920, and had since resided there except for a brief interval when his residence was in Frankfort. He was an employee of Smith-Cooper Mason, Inc. at Wolcott.
Surviving are the widow, seven daughters, Mrs. James Critser, Rensselaer, Mrs. David Dellinger, Mrs. Gordon Lucas, Mrs. George Myers, Mrs. Gene Oberlander, Mrs. Dean Logan, all of Wolcott, Mrs. James Young, of Brookston, a son, Raymond Allie, at home and fifteen grandchildren.
The body is at the Foster Funeral Home in Wolcott where friends may call after noon today. Funeral services will be held at the Funeral Home Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. Lloyd Walker, of the Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be made at Remington.
