Charley B. Barfield, Macon Co. Native, Dies At Pitts.
Funeral services for C. B. Barfield, 57, of Pitts, who died at his home Sunday evening following a four weeks' illness, were held Tuesday in the Union Baptist Church.
The Rev. Jack Dowdy and the Rev. C. A. Stewart officiated,, with burial in the UNION BAPTIST CHURCH CEMETERY.
Mr. Barfield was a native of Macon County and was a retired farmer.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Virgie Lee Barfield of Pitts; one son, J. F. Barfield of Cordele; three daughters, Mrs. Josey Barfield Nations of Atlanta, Mrs. Joyce Barfield Glisson of Waynesboro and Mrs. Shirley Barfield Newell of Cordele; two brothers, Homer Mygrant of Pitts and Will Mygrant of Delray Beach, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Allie Mygrant Barfield of Oglethorpe and Mrs Jessie Ida Mygrant Shirah of Perry; and two grandchildren.
