Malcolm Adrian Buckey was born January 14, 1899, in Littlestown, Adams County, Pennsylvania, the son of Elmer Duttera and Martha May Miller Buckey. He was the grandson of Levi Francis and Columbia Victoria Miller Miller, natives of Frederick County, Maryland. On May 26, 1931, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Malcolm married Dorothy Elizabeth Brickley, daughter of Edmund B. and Elizabeth C. Diehl Buckey. They were the parents of 3 children: Barbara E., Patricia May and Malcolm Adrian Buckey. Malcolm passed away November 10, 1993, in Spring House, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania and was buried in West Laurel Hill Cemetery, Bala Cynwyd, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.

"Mr. Malcolm Buckey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer D. Buckey, of South Queen street, left Monday evening for Baltimore where he joined a party of four on a motor trip to Roland, N. C., where they will attend a convention of the Delta Sigma Phi fraternity."

"Malcolm Buckey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer D. Buckey, of Philadelphia, who moved from Littlestown several weeks ago, is in the South Baltimore General Hospital where he is seriously ill from an infection of the throat. He became ill while on a visit to Baltimore over the last weekend. An operation was performed at the hospital on Tuesday evening after a consultation of five doctors had been held. Since that time, his condition has improved and word from the hospital was to the effect that, if improvement continued during the next twenty-four hours as it had up to this time, Mr. Buckey would recover."

"Financial expert. Malcolm A. Buckey, 94, a descendant of the founding family of Buckeystown, died of a stroke Monday at the medical center of the Spring House Estates retirement community in Spring House, Pa. He was the great-great-great grandson of Daniel Buckey, who founded the Frederick County town in the early 1800s, said son Malcolm A. Buckey Jr., of Richmond, Va. Born and reared in Littlestown, Pa., Mr. Buckey was a 1917 graduate of Littlestown High School. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Finance and Commerce in 1921. Mr. Buckey was president and board member of Tidewater Terminals and Merchants Warehouse Co. of Philadelphia from 1922 until his retirement in 1964, when he moved to Sky Top, Pa. He was a director of the Pocono Hotel Corp. and Skytop Club, and was the former member of the Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce and the American Warehouseman's Association. He was a director of City National Bank and a member of the Philadelphia Downtown Club. Services were private."

"MALCOLM A. BUCKEY, 94, OF SPRING HOUSE; RETIRED CHIEF OF WAREHOUSE FIRM. Malcolm A. Buckey, 94, a retired president and director of a warehousing company, died Nov. 10 at Springhouse Estates' medical center. He lived in Spring House. Mr. Buckey was born in Littlestown, Pennsylvania, and received his bachelor's degree in 1921 from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School. He had been a resident of Spring House for 17 years and previously resided in Sky Top, Pa. For many years, Mr. Buckey worked in the warehousing field. At his retirement, he was president and member of the board of directors of Tidewater Terminals & Merchants Warehouse Co. of Philadelphia. He had served as president of the American Warehousemen's Association, chairman of the traffic division of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce and a director of City National Bank (later part of Meridian Bank). Mr. Buckey was a director of Pocono Hotel Corp. and the Sky Top Club. He was a past chairman of the Tabor Home for Children in Doylestown, and a founder and a past president of the Beaver College Parents Association. He was a former member of the Philadelphia Kiwanis Club, Rotary Club of Monroe County and the Downtown Club in Philadelphia.
