He was the grandson of Levi Francis and Columbia Victoria Miller Miller, natives of Frederick County, Maryland. On May 26, 1931, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Malcolm married Dorothy Elizabeth Brickley, daughter of Edmund B. and Elizabeth C. Diehl Buckey. They were the parents of 3 children: Barbara E., Patricia May and Malcolm Adrian Buckey. Malcolm passed away November 10, 1993, in Spring House, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania and was buried in West Laurel Hill Cemetery, Bala Cynwyd, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
