DIED--Zilliah T. White. Jan. 17, 1884, in Greencastle, at her Mother's, aged 17 years, 5 months and 20 days. She was converted in the 14th year of her age, and joined the Cumberland Presbyterian church, of which she remained a faithful member until death called her from labor to reward. She leave[s] a widowed mother, three brothers and two sisters to mourn, but not without hope of meeting her on the Golden Shore, where there is no parting, but all is peace. She, while in life, loved the house of God, and was not ashamed to be identified with the church of God.

I love thee, daughter of my heart,
how dearly none can tell;
The hope of my declining years,
How can I say farewell,
Nor life nor death can sever
My soul from thine forever.
Oh, sad and crushing was the blow
That brought those scalding tears;
That laid my dearest idol low,
And left my bosom lone and drear,
Yet didst thou leave behind thee
A clew for love to find thee.
Farewell on earth, Heaven claims its own
Yet when from me thy spirit went,
It was exchanged for God alone
Let dust and ashes learn content,
Yet would these arm have chained thee,
And longer from heaven detained thee.
Zillah, my last, my youngest love,
The crown of every other;
Though thou art born in heaven above,
I am thine only mother,

Believe thou canst forget me.
We know that she is happy now,
