He had celebrated his 85th birthday on October 2nd. He served his country as a crew member of a B17 US Army Air Force in World War II. He was an engineer for design of weapon components at LANL, serving as liaison with several other Department of Energy contractors. After retirement in 1982, he was employed part-time as an associate at LANL.
He was a charter member of the Elks, and an American Legion and VFW member. He is survived by his wife, Jean; son Bill, Barbara Bushong; and his mother-in-law Lucille Perrett, all of Los Alamos.
A private burial will be held at Guaje Pines Cemetery. Friends of the family are invited to the Los Alamos VFW at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18 to celebrate his life.
