Robert N. Milliken, 92, of Mt. Lebanon, died Sat., Oct. 23, 2010. Born May 7, 1918 in Wilkinsburg, to Clarence F. & Helen (Gilmore) Milliken; husband for 69 years of Irene (Tomko) Milliken.; father of Ronald R. (Katharina) Milliken; grandfather of Lisa Ann Sklener; brother of the late Lois Reinhardt & William G.; uncle of Kenneth Milliken, Cheri Vallecorsa & Cynthia Duzik. Laughlin Memorial Chapel, Mt. Lebanon. Interment, Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. Mr. Milliken played lead alto sax in big bands in the 1940's which included Ciro Rimac, King Guion, KDKA Staff Band, Nixon Theater Pit Band, Ice Capades & Ice Follies, Pittsburgh Pops, Holiday House Show Band, Seger Ellis, Art Jarrett, Eddie Miller, Scat Davis, Al Marsico, Jan Garber, Lang Thompson & Edgar Drake. He also gave private lessons in alto sax, clarinet, flute and piano. He worked for J.C. Keppie Diamond Co.; J.B. Bernstein, PA Gem Co. & owned Robert N. Milliken Gem Company.
