MRS. ROSE ELIZABETH BUSKELL
Mrs. Rose Elizabeth Buskell, 90, of Perks Peak, Cedar Bluff, died at her home Tuesday morning, May 9, following a long illness.
She was born in Cedar Bluff and was a daughter of the late William L. and Mary Ann Ward Fields, both Tazewell County natives.
She had made her home in the Cedar Bluff area her entire life and was a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) of Richlands.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Albert Green Buskell and also one son, Mr. Roy L. Buskell. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. E. Gordon (Elizabeth) McLaskey of Anderson, SC; two sons, H. Paul Buskell of Richlands and James K. Buskell of Bristol, TN; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday morning at 11 am at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Charles R. Willard officiating. Interment will follow in the Hankins Cemetery in Richlands.
Pallbearers will be William A. Buskell, Richard Paul Buskell, Hugh E. Cooke, Barry A. Bandy, George Buskill, John N. Buskill, M. H. Lowe, Jr. and Ralph Cox.
The body will remain at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 7 till 9 pm this evening.
The family requests that donations be made to the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Richlands.
