A native of Hendricks County, she was born Sept. 30, 1891, a daughter of David and Jessie (Coffin) Keeney. She graduated from Lizton High School in 1909. On Nov. 11, 1912, she married Goldie Vesper Bailey who preceded her in death in February 1969.
She was a member of the Lizton Christian Church where she was an honorary deaconess. She was a past president of the Hendricks County Extension Homemakers and the Lizton Homemaker's Club.
She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Lena Bailey Head of Lizton and several nieces and nephews. Two sons, Ronald and Richard, preceded her as well as one sister and two brothers.
