When Charity Clark was born about 1804, in Tolland, Massachusetts, her father, Jonathan, was 46 and her mother, Mary, was 46. Charity's first marriage in 1821 was to Marcellus C Miller and they had three children Maria E, Marcellus C, and Leonidas O. Marcellus died in 1848. Marriage number 2 in 1857 was to John Johnson and then in December of 1858, Chester Couch. She died on October 1, 1859, in Sandisfield, Massachusetts, at the age of 55, and was buried there.
