Pembroke - Jeannette Beasley Bacon, age 68, died Wednesday May 5, 2010 at her residence after an extended illness. Mrs. Bacon was a seamstress with over 45 years of service having worked at both Pembroke and Claxton Manufacturing. She was also an avid gardener who loved working with her flowers.

Survivors include her husband, Larry Bacon of Pembroke; daughter Glenda Ibarrondo-Smith of Pembroke; 2 sons Russell and Ricky Smith both of Pembroke; 2 brothers and 3 sisters-in-law, Meady and Nancy Beasley of Ellabell, Jimmy and Debbie Beasley of Pembroke and Patricia Beasley, wife of the late LeRoy Beasley; 7 grandchildren Sandra Williams, Christina Bacon, Candace Anderson, Heather Smith, Brittney Smith, Corey Smith, and Ashley Smith; 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 2 P.M. Saturday, May 8, in the chapel of Flanders Morrison Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Spencer and Dr. Lawrence Butler officiating. Burial will follow in Northside Cemetery. Flanders Morrison Funeral Home, of Pembroke, is in charge of the arrangements.
