Statesville Record and Landmark (Statesville, North Carolina) - Wed, Sep 18, 1957 - Page 5 - Mrs. Lorene Kerr Albea, 54, of 1522 Boulevard died at 4:20 p.m. Tuesday in Rowan Memorial Hospital, Salisbury. She had been a patient there about 24 hours.
Born May 6, 1903, Mrs. Albea was the daughter of the late W.A. Kerr and Lillie Troutman Kerr.
She was married on December 3, 1919, to Clyde W. Albea, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Spencer Johnson, Jr., and Mrs. Johnnie Davidson, both of Statesville; a son, Clyde W. Albea, Jr., of Statesville; a sister, Mrs. A.T. Coley, route 7, Statesville; and five grandchildren.
Mrs. Albea was an active member of the Wesleyan Memorial Methodist Church where she sang in the choir.
Funeral services will be conducted at the church at 3 p.m. Thursday with Rev. S.W. Johnson of Gastonia and Rev. Walter O. Cooper in charge. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
The body will be taken to the home late this afternoon from Johnson Funeral Home. It will lie in state at the church 30 minutes before the funeral service.
Mrs. Frank Goforth and Mrs. Dorothy Pendleton will be in charge of the flowers
