Mrs. Anna Curfman, the daughter of Mr. Edmond and Sara Owsley Riney was born October 7, 1879 in Clark County, Missouri. She passed away suddenly May 26, 1953 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. P. Wheeler, near St. Patrick where she had made her home the past 9 years at the age of 73 years, 4 months, and 26 days. She was united in marriage to Carnealous R. Powell in, 1895 who preceded her in death in 1902. There were three children, Lionel of Hannibal, Mabel of St. Patrick and Neal of Canton. In 1913 she was married to William Curfman who passed away July 24, 1942. He had four children by a former marriage, Ed. of Montgomery, Okla., Geo. of Bushnedd, Ill., Mrs. Elsie Gilpin Wheeler of Avon, Ill., and Clar eMcMilian of Keoku, Ia. She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Riney and infant brother and sister, and a half sister, Mrs. Lena Montgomery.
Surviving her are a sister, Mrs. Bert Evans of Hannibal, a brother, Walter Riney and wife of Caneyville, Ky., a sister-in-law, Mrs. C. E. Riney of Pittsfield, Ill., three children, four step children, twenty-five grand children and twenty-three great grandchildren.
