Betty J. Diefenderfer Crouse, 85, formerly of Easton, passed away Friday in Gracedale.
Born Feb. 17, 1925, in Pottsville, she was a daughter of the late John H. and Helen Rudy Diefenderfer.
Betty's husband of 62 years, John B. Crouse, died Sept. 20.
She graduated from Hazleton High School in 1943.
Betty was a homemaker.
Years ago, she was employed by Prudential Insurance Co., Hazleton. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Nancy J. Foulk and her husband, Terry S., Easton; two brothers, Donald F. Diefenderfer and his wife, Dorothy, State College; and Robert A. Diefenderfer and his wife, Marilyn, Chapel Hill, N.C.; two sisters, Helen Jean Kline Parnell, Jacksonville, Fla.; and Anna Louise Gulas, Hazleton; two grandchildren, Daniel S. Foulk and his wife, Melissa; and Lindsey J. Foulk and her companion, Anthony Wilcox; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, John B. Diefenderfer, and a sister, Miriam Doris Buchanan.
Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Strunk Funeral Home Inc., 2101 Northampton St., Easton.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
Burial will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine.
