Simeon A. Dalton passed away at his home in Farmington Route Three in Ste. Genevieve County at 9:00 a.m. Thursday, Sept 11, 1941 after a lingering illness.

In 1908 he was converted and became a member of the Cantwell Baptist Church. Later, he transferred his membership to the Genevieve Baptist Church to which he remained a faithful member until the time of his death.

S.A. Dalton, son of the late Enos and Nancy Singleton Dalton, was born August 3, 1877, and died Sept. 11, 1941, aged 64 years, 1 month and 8 days.

In November 1907, he was married to Della Bequette. To this union one son, Forrest was born and survives and is residing in St. Louis.

On May 29, 1919, he was untied in marriage to Mary Evelyn "Eva" Babb, who survives. To this union four sons were born, twins who died in infancy and Everett and Willard at home along with a stepson, Vernon Babb of Farmington.

He also leaves to mourn his passing, four brothers; Will and James M Dalton of Cantwell, Charles Dalton of Cedar Falls and Ed Dalton of Womack; two sisters; Mrs. Mary Duvall and Mrs. Lena Ramsey of Silver Lake; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Genevieve Baptist Church by the Rev. G.M. Elders with Boyer Service in charge.
